I have been a member of QFF for many years. I recently lost all my points because points balance was inactive for 18 months. I was not aware of this. Can anybody suggest how. may be able to persuade Qantas to reinstate my points balance ?

Welcome to AFF. Sadly, it is something like this that brings you here - lets hope you can get your points back. How long ago did these points 'expire'?

See here for some guidance:

Have you any flights planned?
Or by any chance used a QF ff partner that may be eligible?

I look after several family Qantas ff accounts. Received emails about expiring QF ff points
Keep your Qantas Points from expiring
Hi WXYZ,
As a valued Qantas Frequent Flyer, we automatically extended your Qantas Points expiry over
the past few years and now your final extension is coming to an end. This means your points
are due to expire on 30 June 2023.
Since you have not earned or used a Qantas Point since our last email reminder, you will now
need to take a Qantas or oneworld flight before 30 June 2023 to prevent them from expiring
remembering to add your Qantas Frequent Flyer number to the booking.
Don't forget, your points won’t expire as long as you earn or use one in an 18 month period

You can find more information on all the ways to earn and use Qantas Points here.
Had received other emails before this. Is also on the web site when you log in.

The email is misleading in stating need to take a flight. Don't need to take a OW flight, but earn or burn. Any activity resets the QF 18 month clock.

To keep QF points alive in Australia, if you drive or know someone who does, registering your QF ff number with BP on then web site and then buy some petrol and swipe your QF card when paying is one of the easiest ways.

even weekly walking app points will help - dont even need the Qantas insurance to do it - the well being app will be enough for the points - cause 1 point is enough to keep it open for 18 months. Also to @ppicke Welcome to AFF! hope you will enjoy the people in this forum. They are very friendly and helpful! :)

Give them a call and ask if there's any way to reinstate them, they may offer you a points challenge to earn X points in a certain amount of time in order to get them back.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
