Can anyone who has a voucher please try to select a flight to Noumea to redeem it?
I don't mean make the booking, just see if you can select it as a destination and look for flights.
When I try the place where the entry should be shows up as "[NOUNUE]" instead of "[NOU] Noumea" and can't be selected as a destination.

You need to edit the code via the source, I believe. Then it works fine. Ridiculously annoying, I am sure. Think you can/could do the same with the Doha bug.

I had the same problem when booking a status run recently. (Documented in the stickied thread). I reported it to the web people and they said it would probably be fixed in the next major release of the website!?!? (how hard is it to change an entry in a table?).

Anyway, if you are using Chrome go to the menu View/Developer/Developer Tools. This will split the screen into two parts: left side web page, right side source code, etc. In the top right part of the window you should be able to search the source code.

To start, put in a valid airport code on the left side of the screen that the voucher booking system recognises. Search for that code/city combination on the source code side. When you find it you should be able to change the airport code and city to NOU Noumea. Go back to the voucher booking window and make the booking.

Hopefully that all makes sense. I'm describing this from memory and I don't have a current voucher that I can use to test it for you.

Wow, just wow. It is utterly amazing that, in this day and age, we have to resort to web site 'hacking' to make a booking! I'm gob-smacked.

I am amazed (and appalled) that Qantas didn't sort this out as soon as it was first reported.
This is simple. It doesn't need to wait for a major overhaul of the web site.

I booked my next trip without using the voucher.
I didn't need it to keep platinum this membership year.
I'll save it and use it to get off to a flying start next year.
