I have been a member of AAA for quite a few years. Their discounts are helpful.
The Kia I hired in Los Angeles had no spare tyre and driving out in the heat of Las Vegas and surrounds it is better to be sure. I went thru argus/europcar/advantage and all worked great. The thing I miss are the parking/proximity sensors when reversing and no reversing camera but $30 a day all up was sweet for a car that had done 200 miles ever.
Now they tried to sell me a refuelling deal at $3.75 a gallon, a GPS and extra insurance ......No thanks as I have all that covered elsewhere.

I'm Hertz FiveStar Gold, looking at three days car hire in Toronto in Dec. Somehow I keep getting CAD300+ quotes online with Hertz direct.

Does the United/Hertz deal work in Canada or anyone know of other Hertz linked discount offers?

The United MileagePlus hertz deal is worldwide so shouldn't be a problem

MileagePlus members receive the following benefits:

Save up to 40% on each qualifying paid Hertz rental with discount code (CDP) 62455

I hired with Avis picking up at LAX drop off in Vegas at the Aroa and they were by far the cheapest for this arrangement. I then booked a car in LA for a day picking up and dropping off at LAX and booked a car at Alamo thru a UK website called netflights. It was a lot cheaper booking thru the UK site than any others.

Alamo is offering AU drivers the following:
Unlimited milage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
$1million liability coverage
Sales taxes, local surcharges and airport fees

mmchow,
Thank you for posting this one. The pricing this offers is slightly less than the consolidators (like Argus), because it includes and additional driver at no extra charge.
I've made a booking using this link.
