Me too...can't decide if the card is plasticy cardboard, or cardboardy plastic! :)

Finally. Good things happen to those that wait the longest.

Nicely packaged. I thought the card is OK, not really a problem.

What worries is some of the fine print. Has anyone studied the terms and conditions in detail? Generally most tasks can be done on the web but there are some that require the MCC (membership contact centre) to handle the transaction. Things like re-activating dormant account, purchases from online shop. Dormat Account? Expiry of Points? Did not go through the t&c in great detail but could not an explanation for these. I suppose I can search on their website.

Overall I think looks quite good.

The only thing I remember seeing is the bit about if there was no activity in 36 months your account would be terminated. Maybe there is a way of reactivating things.

Probably with CC points or another flight. Otherwise it will cost $20 to re-activate card and you can only do through the MCC.

Still not sure about expiry of points. I know with some ffp's points expire after 3 years regardless of whether you accumulate other points or not. At least with qff if you have any activity once every 3 years then all points are retained and none expire. Not sure what happens with velocity. :?

I received mine last week. I too am a virgin squared (virgin virgin) but I know one day that I will be deflowered by our compnay policy here. My biggest gripe is that the sticky tape doesn't let me sign the card properly.

I hope to use it as much as my Austrian Airlines Qualiflyer and Ukraine Intrnational Airlines Panorama cards.

I haven't received mine - as of yet.

I thought Austrian left the Qaulflyer group years ago?

Has anyone received their Velocity membership card yet? I haven't seen anything yet. :(
No, not yet.

And I am so looking forward to collecting an extra card that may never be used.

Nothing here yet :!:

What was the turn around time :?: (anyone)

I think DJ batched a whole heap of applications and sent them out at once.

Maybe they're doing that again and your card will be delayed.

About 4 - 5 weeks for me, though what Mal said about batching is quite possible.

Cheers

Joined Nov 24, received Dec 19 so basically 25 days turn around for me.

I think those that joined immediately got it quicker.

Welcome to AFF danhan :)

Austrian has been a member of Miles & More for quite some time - not sure exactly how long.
