Carrying on board a sewing machine?

Security does not have a clue.

I had forgotten a fork in carry on at BNE domestic a number of years ago. They wanted to confiscate. I went back and checked in 1 fork.

The silly thing is you can get metal cutlery on board so they are keeping everyone safe by confiscating my fork.
