Hi all,
I’m chasing advice on cash in Namibia. I'm off to Windhoek this month, and trying to figure out the best course of action so that I can grab a taxi from Hosea Kutako International Airport to my hotel in the city - Google suggests having some cash on hand for this. Google also suggests that Rand is accepted in Namibia…so just wondering how widespread the acceptance of Rand is in Windhoek if anyone has been recently? I have some Rand leftover from a previous trip to South Africa, but don't want to get stuck in a taxi in Windhoek who won't take Rand. Is it accepted pretty much everywhere, or will I actually need to exchange some money for NAD or find a Namibian ATM on arrival? Fully intend to use my card for everything possible, but sometimes cash is needed!
Thanks heaps for any advice!
