JohnK she must've have been a looker for you to get your seat numbers muddled. The B767-336's are the ex-BA ones where the exit row is row 43.
Not as pretty as you though. I was definitely in 34A and she was in 35K, I was not in an exit row and it was definitely an ex-BA B767-336....

On a similar note, was at Perth airport this afternoon dropping off a relative at QF, went in to check out the changes. On the way out of the airport I heard an anouncement over the airport intercom that catering could not be assured for a Jetstar flight(didn't here where too) and passengers were advised to purchase food and drinks before boarding. Is this unusual or does it happen often?

I have never heard that as a public announcement though that does not mean it does not happen.

It used to happen frequently on all the red eye JQ flights DRW to ADL/BNE/MEL as aircraft was catered ex ADL/BNE/MEL & if it was a full flight inbound there would be nothing left to eat on the return. You'd even hear PA's saying there was no food or water!

They wanted turnarounds kept to a minimum of 30 minutes as crews operated up and back so they didn't want a minor detail like catering to get in the way of that as any longer on the ground would get too close to maxing out crew hours.

Personally, I'd rather take something on-board anyway. The JQ Trolley selections have never been particularly wonderful and are not cheap either. Plan ahead and take something if you really want it :)
