Cathay Pacific Delays/Cancellations

On Thursday 19 September, CX1110, the 1910 hours overnighter to SYD did not become airborne until 2025. On Friday 20, A359 B-LRT arrived ex HKG at 0659 hours, 44 minutes tardy. This is delaying CX110, the scheduled 0735 hours return flight to HKG.

Saturday 21's CX111 from HKG to SYD arrived on Sunday 22 at 0621 hours, six minutes late, but A359 B-LRB as at 1020 AEST doesn't appear to have departed on CX110, the returning scheduled 0735 hours SYD-HKG.

UPDATE; 'The 110' took off at 1129 with arrival at gate suggested as 181 minutes late at 1806 hours. Presumably some will miss connections.

CX 163 to Melbourne yesterday (22/09/2024) - B-HNR took off at 2348 instead of 1115 HKT, now arriving at 1019 the next day (23/09/2024) - hence cascading multiple MEL departures delayed!!

The CX 178 return is now schedule to depart at 1145 on 23/09/2024 instead of 2345 on 22/09/2024 - actual depart at 1215
The CX 104 will depart at 1925 instead of 1425 despite arriving as 105 on time into MEL

On Wednesday 25 September, CX101 from HKG down to SYD should arrive at 1130 hours, 40 minutes late. Aircraft is B773ER B-KQT.

CX178, the 2345 hours Tuesday 24 MEL-HKG with B773ER B-KQN took off at 0051 hours on Wednesday 25, meaning likely gate arrival at 0752 hours, 57 late.

The 0055 hours BNE-HKG, CX156 has B-KQE with a likely 0815 hours arrival, half an hour behind the timetable.

CX105 on 27/09/2024 to Melbourne departed at 0206 instead of 0025 and now scheduled to arrive at 1225 - 70 mins late... the return ON 104 should depart on time at 1425 with 2 hours of cleaning - this is B-LXE

Also: B- LXC that was stuck here on the Wednesday version of CX 104 is still here almost 2 days later! One must assume those passengers would have been transferred to other flights including QF 29
 
Normally I won’t post non passenger flights but this I think is relevant with the stuck B-LXC since 25/09/2024 as CX104 - finally departed MEL at 1256 on 03/10/2024 as CX3874 to HKG. Scheduled to arrive at 1941.

Normally I won’t post non passenger flights but this I think is relevant with the stuck B-LXC since 25/09/2024 as CX104 - finally departed MEL at 1256 on 03/10/2024 as CX3874 to HKG. Scheduled to arrive at 1941.

Years ago, I asked a moderator re posting about freighter activities: he said along the lines of 'keep it to passenger flights'.

This is not a freighter service but this is a empty return flight that was meant to be a passenger service instead of pure cargo flight

But thanks for this info- hope it won’t be deleted as this wasn’t strictly passenger service
 
CX110 SYD-HKG had quite the adventure yesterday.

Left SYD at 0845 and had to divert to CNS landing at 1245. Left CNS at 1630 and arrived MNL 1945 local time which I assume was due to the crew timing out. Left MNL at 2226 before finally arriving in HKG at 0004, a good 9 hours behind schedule.

Anyone know why it had to divert to CNS? Medical or technical?

very likely medical - basic assumption and also refuelling as CNS is not a CX port currently despite used to have staff there years ago... if technical, could have gone to BNE as there would be staff for them
