Does anyone know of a website that will allow me to view details of a Cathay record locator?

You meen you wany to knoe the record locator (booking number) or, you know the record locator and want to see the booking?

If it was booked directly with Cathay, no web site available. Theie system is called "Cupid" and is a proprietory system.

If you booked through an agent, you need to know which computer system (GDS) the agent uses, then look on the specifc site for that GDS.

They are all listsed in postings on this site...

If your booking has your "AsiaMiles" number (if you have one) against the segments you may be able to look it up on the Asia Miles web site.

FWIW I have a RTW booking thru CX and as all flights have my QFF number against them I don't appear to be able to access the CX segments. No problems with QF/BA via amadeus checkmytrip, nor AA via AA.com.

I know the record locator and want to be able to look it up.

I suspected they might have their own system. I don't recognise the format of the record locator.

No Asia Miles number recorded, unfortunately.

How did you book? That's the key point - direct or through T'Agent?

Was there something specific you want to know? Let me know by post here or direct...

I was booked with Cathay directly.

I just wanted to see more details than what I know at the moment - which is just flight number and time.

Wanted to see if I have been allocated a seat, seat map, etc.

If that's all you need, ring them on 131 747 and ask.

First time on CX? Suggest you use you AsiaMiles number which allows you to check in online 48 hours prior to travel - you can ajust seating online at that time if need be.

Which calss are you travelling? If in Y and you have a ticket # in your res, they they'll allocate a seat ("Advance Seat Allocation" or ASR in CX speak) for you. Check out the seat map from their Web site www.cathaypacific.com so you know where you want to be. Or, so see what seats are available on the flight, use http://flyaow.com/classcwt.htm.

Booked direct, so a free-be, prize???

Not a freebie. Paid J ticket.

Was originally booked on a CX flight but it was cancelled, so have been moved to a Dragonair flight instead.

Have rung to allocate a seat - no problems. I just like to check online to see if there are any updated flight details.
