Email received yesterday from CBA. 31st October is the last day for the bank issued Amex cards to work. It's cactus after that.

It's probably not worth retaining the Mastercard unless the annual fee falls a LOT.

It's been discussed in this thread: Another one bites the dust, Amex dumped by CBA

Yes, if you don't have a loan with CBA it's not worth holding on to the MasterCard but even if you have a loan, the rewards may not be enough to hold on to a $15k limit card.

I can't believe I missed this. I only realised today after reading my statement.

This is going to hurt me a little. Not only from missing points but overseas fees. Saved $500+ last month alone.

My biggest problem is getting another bank to give me the same $50k credit limit I currently have with CBA, the card is maxed out every month. Does anyone have experience with getting a another bank to match this?

I will miss this too, just closed my 35K ANZ card and hoping the limit on my other cards will be increased soon.

The Bankwest World MC can have large limits, no forex fees and 0.66 QF per dollar. I haven't heard of 50k ones but wouldn't think it impossible.

I have a similar limit with anz and amex.

Did they give that to you on signup or increased over time? My Amex is only at ~20k (increased once since sign up a year ago)
Increased over time but short time frame from what I remember and now limited to that with no further increase.

The Coles MasterCard can do $50k limit and no forex fees -- I saw that offered this month at sign-up for someone I know, who didn't even have to ask for that limit. Watch out for the annual points transfer limit out of flybuys, but it's is often waived while they have VA transfer promos.

I do have a Coles but the limit is 15k and I use it for something else. Might try to ask for a higher limit
