Hi All,
I signed up for an AMEX credit card so I could get the bonus 100,000 frequent flyer points. The Ad said you could do a return flight to USA with the 100k of points.

While searching flights, the Bris - LAX (Economy) is coming up with needing 700K of points. Have I missed something?

You need to search for Reward Seats, not Anytime Seats. Reward Seats are quite limited. Check alternative dates.

It just means there are no reward seats available on the dates you are searching. There are only a small number released and they're snapped up to the USA.

Thanks Greenfish. I thought it would say no seats available like Qantas website, instead of a ridiculous amount of points.

The VA site is a little "different".

If there are rewards seats available, you'll see another column appear.

The only time you'll get no reward seats available is if there are also no cash fares available (e.g. flight sold-out or a route that is only available as a reward ticket with no reward tickets available".

Try searching for VA reward seats on the Delta website. Once you've found an available seat you want to book, go to the Velocity website to book.
