I would love to come but can't.

Went to the ADL one and had a great time.

Enjoy yourselves!!!

I thought going to Canberra for a day trip but its an expensive $400 day trip including flights and taxi fares. I would get another 2,000 Qantas miles and 20 Status Credits for my trouble. :-|

So anyone else interested in meeting on Sunday?

Will send out PMs tomorrow and we can decide where to meet.

My PM inbox is full so you will need another forum for PMs. :-|

I haven't booked anything saving my money for a Status Run in the US, but could be convinced if it was really that good. :-|

Can't swear or do so loud enough to express my disappointment that a) we don't have anything like this on my side of Australia, and b) I'm so busy that I can't book a last minute flight for this and just go.

Have a good time whoever is going.

I'm with thewinchester on this one...

I LIVE here in Canberra and can NOT make it.

thewinchester,

You could go to the Red Bull Air Race instead :!:

I have been to some great open days and airshows at RAAF Pearce.

Don't get me wrong, Red Bull and Pearce are great fun - however I'm a nut for looking under the hood of places you don't normally get to go (airports, factories, et al).

Well am now home after a great day. I got there early and was the first person to visit the Constellation aircraft. PeteJ and Skoogle met up with me during the morning and I showed them the new luggage tag.

I did a bus tour of the tarmac and later on the joy flight. In between we had a refreshing drink (diet coke for me) in the Qantas business lounge and exchanged tales of travel. Great to meet two more AFFers.

It was a good day and I will post some photos in the near future.
