I know it's lots of notice, but it ties in with the Amex shop small and people who said previously this date would suit them, and others who may be able to plan to attend.

I'll be booking in the name of AFF.

Attendees:

get me outta here

Probably won't make it, but I did go to the Kingo recently with some members of our public service (Pay your own way of course, because nobody is allowed to give or accept gifts more than 0.1 cents).

Would love to be there but I'll still be acting as target practice for the Taliban come November...

Missed the last two dinners so trying to make this one. Show me as interested. I will travel down from Sydney and stay the night. Any ideas for reasonably priced accommodation near the Kingo? The East Hotel appears convenient but very pricey.

There are serviced apartments in the area which may be worth checking out, though the prices might not be that much better

The Kingo also has rooms upstairs. Judging by the patterned carpet on the stairs going up that I have noticed, they could also be historic rooms. But, might be worth enquiring about. Edit: Just checked, those rooms may be too 'historic'.

Also, maybe an airbnb room within walking distance? Give me an idea of your preferred budget and we'll make some suggestions.

Thanks for the information. I will have a closer look (on-line) at what is available generally and see what I can find. A mate has offered to drive down and return (not an Aff'er) so there will be two of us, and two rooms.

Body count RSVPs so far, any 'alts and adds'? :

Hotel Realm, Burbury, Little National and the Brassey are all a 10 or 15 walk away too. Possibly a little more comfortable the what the Kingo can offer.
