CBR winter get together at 1800 on 08 June at the Kingo to celebrate us still being here, not there

Caribou is our local work pub, as our offices is in Kingston. I would recommend it for the quality of the food (good pub grub), with a Canadian Sports Bar vibe. You can view the menu on their website. You can't cook your own steak though. They do have large tables that you can book.

I love poutine so I don't mind switching it up to go to Caribou for a change. We went in warmer times and sat outside which was lovely.

Hmmm… NSW restrictions slowing easing Mon 11th Oct. Anyone fully vaccinated in ACT wanna travel interstate into Queanbeyan NSW to a pub for a meal & drink? 😂

As there is a large seating area at The Kingo, I will try to organise an any sort of table for 20 October for those of us living in the ACT.
I will make contact as soon as possible to see if it is possible.

I'll note it here and then start a new thread. Looking fwd to catching up.
Stand by. 🙂

I don't think we are allowed to do that ??? I have got some colleagues who live in Queanbeyan, but work in ACT ... they were telling that even they are not allowed to go to a pub because they work in ACT, they are still under the "stay-at-home" orders ....

It's official now, those that LIVE in NSW, but WORK in ACT no longer need to follow "stay-at-home" orders ...

Mr Barilaro said the NSW chief health officer had made an exemption on the ACT for some.

"NSW residents are now exempt from the requirements to compete a declaration or follow the stay at home rules if they have only been in the ACT for work, to receive medical or health treatment or to accompany someone receiving treatment," he said.
The former deputy premier said the new rules came into effect from 8pm on Monday.

I don't think going out for dinner counts as work or medical treatment. ;)

dinner counts as work
Unless you take some clients out to dinner, you know, for better business leads/prospects/thank them for their unflinching support over the tough time :)

On a serious note though : If someone is living in NSW and work in ACT on a regular basis (that's most of my team in the agency) then they can go out and have a drink at a pub in Queanbeyan without breaching any rules ... However, the rule doesn't apply in the reverse - wherein, someone living & working in ACT, can't jump the border into Queanbeyan to have a drink at the pub :( :'( (sob)
