Has anybody ever seen a comprehensive comparison of the coverage of 'Complimentary Travel Insurance' policies associated with the plethora of Credit Cards on offer?

i googled your question... choice has a report (but you have to pay) australian business traveller as done some comparison. and there were other links too but didn't go in to those.

the choice report is from 2011 so it might not be as relevant as insurance terms and conditions change every year. I recommend the general review by AUSBT.

if you have time, i would recommend reading each PDS and comparing the main points such as:
-how the complimentary insurance is activated
-the level of cover (amounts)
-does cover extend to family members, spouse, children, etc
-the exclusions
-the excesses
-and if pre-existing medical condition can be covered by request (some insurers allow this).

Since most of the major banks have their credit card insurances with Zurich, its easier to just call the Zurich hotline and ask.
