hi DC3 and SCM having short burst of time in-between chores gives me little in the way of time to spend on the AFF website. However I can answer your questions. I was recently flying through LHR and came across the Centurion lounge and popped in to have a look. I was curious of course and holding a coveted black centurion card I could avoid the long queue into the lounge. Those were the others who had lower status and needed to pay for entrance or figure out their eligibility. I was whisked in ahead of the rest and introduced to a Centurion Lounge Manager who showed me or toured me through the lounge which was busy as every seat was taken. Mentioning the breakfast menu was incredible and should try it before closing, the bar and the drinks that are only for CCM(Centurion Club Members), the private room only for centurions. I was the only one inside and could happily leave my hand luggage and eat the sumptuous breakfast provided. Everything was open and working, the bar, the coffee machines, the entertainment on TV easily accessible, etc.. I was well looked after and I mentioned it as a P1 with Qantas because I just walked out the First lounge which offerings were not as attractive ( downstairs restaurant and bar closed ) Minimal offering from upstairs breakfast layout. Centurion is getting a way better experience and more attentive. I was totally taken by surprise. Furthermore in Melbournes Centurion lounge though maybe l see it it as less then distinguished when compared to others we did get Aesops travel cosmetics circa 100AUD worth. I had been through several times travelling internationally and each time had the same travel pack. With centurion you get priority pass thrown in and therefore also availed myself of the other absolutely fantastic lounges that had low loadings and new fresh. Compared to QF Melbournes first lounge is getting tired imho. But choice is wonderful.
