We have a situation where my daugther may have to cancel her flights MEL-PER return. Both QF flights but booked separately. The MEL-PER is a revenue flight and the return PER-MEL is a CR business fare. We were wondering if Qantas will allow us to change the CR ticket into my name as I would like to travel to Melbourne on that date.
I have tried to read the threads on here and also the T&C of the CR flights but I cannot find the answer. I know I can ring Qantas but I thought I would ask if anyone had done this successfully. I am happy to pay a fee to make the change.

You can change name on a CR booking, on QF metal, should be 5k points change fee

14.5.10 Subject to this clause 14.5, the following changes are permitted and a Change Fee per passenger will apply (see the Fee Schedule):

(a) change to flight number;
(b) change to date of travel;
(c) change to class of travel;
(d) change to any Segment routing or airline; and
(e) change to name (only for Flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket that are operated by Qantas).

Honestly why even bother? No one will check that your name exactly matches the booking.
Whilst they may not check, it is technically a criminal offense to take a flight using a ticket in someone else's name. A typical risk situation - low probability of occurrence, potential huge consequences. Using false information to take a flight

Name change was relatively easy and cost the prescribed 5000 points change fee. It was interesting that after we made the name change, I changed the email address and phone number in the booking so that I would receive any notifications. I did get the notifications but my daughter did too. Just interesting - not a bother. I also received the SC for the trip as I am Points Club. All turned out well. Thank you for the replies.
