I've noticed Virgin are playing games for previous tickets purchased with Snack Items.

Having recently flown after the change you basically need to inform the air stewardess that you purchased a ticket with snack to be offered "nuts" as a replacement snack item.

Now I've had one of my flights changed automatically which was booked a few months ago and noticed the ticket meal option was removed :

Obviously the new issued ticket doesnt mentioned I previously purchased a snack item, cost cutting at its best.

If you are keen on the snack, I suggest you simply ask for it. (Keep a copy of the original ticket with you in case there is pushback.)

I don't think they are deliberately trying to take your snack away. If you show the original email on board, you should still get a bag of nuts/seeds.
