Hi There, just trying to do some searching, and it says that an airport code is too short to be considered. Perhaps you can add all airport codes to the approved words category for searches.... DPS was the in the search string that I used and the word was rejected as too short.

Just an idea....

Good suggestion. That you. Will add it to our (ever-growing!) to-do list.

The ability to search for smaller and smaller search strings requires more server resources, and an add-on to accomplish things. We do know of an add-on, but our focus has been bedding down the live site before we start fiddling. I do agree it would be beneficial to be able to search for airport codes in the 4-and-3-letter size, as well as airline codes in the 2-letter size and this may come in the future.

To search airport codes you can always use a little bit of regex. IE if you want to search for DPS, then use DPS*. The star signifying a quantifier, and that search includes as a fourth character (making it a valid search)

It's not perfect though. If say you were searching for FRA (Frankfurt) using the star method, it would bring up words like France, frame etc.
