Change to Amex / QFF relationship?

Has anyone ever bought a one world rtw ticket and upgraded with points on this ticket...is there a certain amount of points already allocated for this or do we have to upgrade on every sector as individual flights:(

There have been several reports on AFF of people purchasing LONEs and upgrading some sectors using FF points

You can only upgrade individual sectors and only using FF points from that airlines FF program, eg QFF points can only be used to upgrade QFF flights.
