Nope, using the ANZ CC directly as a repayment method for Zip Pay (can't use CC for Zip Money, can for Zip Pay).

Thanks for the info. Obviously I need to learn more about zip. I couldn’t find the answer on google, but it Doesn’t look like zip charge a CC surcharge for this?

Just a hypothetical folks (I only just got my ANZ black card back after my last churning waiting period) but what would stop us from paying these bills with a BNPL scheme like Zip and then paying it with the ANZ card? That's my plan, anyway.

To answer the original question, normally the bank won’t award points for this or there’s a credit card fee that is not worthwhile. But every now and then there’s a glitch which leads to the holy grail. Easy Bill Pay was one of these and some harvested millions of point for free Before the loophole was closed.

Nope

This probably explains all the money they've been losing lately 😂

Doesn't Sniip solve the issue as most gov agencies will have Billpayer status? Pardon the ignorance but just getting back into the swing of things after a stint overseas.

Used an ANZ Rewards card of mine online with Australia Post in the past week. Transaction has posted but there's just nothing in the points statement on the ANZ Rewards site (not even a '0', just like it doesn't exist). So it seems it's not just ANZ FF cards that are affected, but also ANZ Rewards cards too (the ones you can convert to VA/SQ/CX).

That sucks. Was about the only thing I had been using my ANZ Rewards card for in Australia, as it otherwise only gets used overseas for no international transaction fees (on the Travel Adventures flavour of card). Hadn't noticed anything on the statement to advise the change, but TBH I never look too closely and just pay the amount showing in the app, haha.
An unexpectedly positive update here. It seems that ANZ was just slow posting the points to my account in this instance. I've checked again and my recent Australia Post charge finally appeared and earned points at the full rate.

It seems then that ANZ's changes do indeed only apply to the direct-earning QFF cards, for now. The writing is certainly on the wall for those in the ANZ Rewards family, but for the minute, make hay and all that. :)

Do government charges (council rates) still qualify for the spend required for bonus points when you open account?

Anyone recently tried making goverment payment indirectly (e.g. via Paypal) using ANZ Rewards card? Any luck getting the reward points?
