We have Emirates business class award flights from Rome to Singapore but then change to Qantas for the last leg of Singapore to Sydney (still business class but paid tickets, as no reward ones were available)

Do we have any chance of getting our bags checked all the way through - given it’s 2 separate bookings and change of airline?

Or will we have to clear immigration in Singapore, collect bags and recheck with Qantas?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, according to https://www.qantas.com/agencyconnec...on/interline-and-through-checked-baggage.html.

The no-interline baggage on two bookings was a oneworld thing, the QF/EK deal is outside of the alliance.
