Cheap(er) options getting to/from BNE airport

Have you had a bit of luggage with you for these trips or is it just HLO?
Just a laptop bag and a carry bag that is usually 11-12 kg and I check-in most times. I have not taken my luggage with me recently but I still would not hesitate in taking it with me if I am in BNE early enough.

I am flying with PAL on the cheap J class flight to Manila tomorrow and trying to figure out how the hell to get the airport. I think this bus option will be even harder to navigate in a few weeks, especially with luggage:

The following changes will be made to Route 369 as part of the Brisbane City Council bus network changes on 22 July 2013.

The service will operate between 6:00am and 9:00am and 4:00pm and 6:00pm at 20 minute frequencies. It will operate half hourly at other times and on weekends.Route change
The service will also only operate between Mitchelton and Toombul with the segment between Toombul and the Aviation Precinct transferred to route 590. The 590 will be extended to Toombul shopping centre to ensure coverage along the entire segment previously provided by the 369.

For me personally, it is too much of a hassle even before this change to get to BNE this way. I am from Melbourne and a few weeks ago I did the broadmeadows route and that was ok, except for the metro system being full of delays and cancellations which meant I couldn't get on the full train at richmond, the next train I took to parliament and then had to backtrack to Flinders st. Then the bus was late too.

From Kangaroo Point where I am staying now, and the fact that I have a 9am flight and lounge access, the cheap option to BNE just isn't feasible as the earliest I would be at eagle junction is 6:08am and then with the bus on 30 minute timetables, it is leaving too much to chance. With the train I will arrive at the airport at 6:17am

The train is a excessive $16 one way and my go card will be zinged for a total of $19.85 for my trip tomorrow. My go card had $6 negative balance for years, and I just loaded $20 onto it, and now I have $10 left. I want to use this loophole: http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/go-card-airport-crackdown-20130409-2hhvo.html

I think you have plenty of time using the bus, another option is to pre-purchase the ticket in town for a discount and use the free city hopper ferry service.
