Hey There,

I've known for some time about the relatively cheap J RTW fares with Swiss and Lufthansa (around $6.5k), but from what I can gather there isn't one that will allow a stop in DXB. I'm heading to DXB in May, but now have reason to get to the USA on the way back.

Anyone know of anything? I'm crossing fingers, toes etc, as I'd really like to get the USA leg done in one hit.

Cheers!

None of those cheaper fares will allow you to do DXB (they're not technically RTW fares, just allow you to go via US in one direction).

Best option I can think of off the top of my head is either doing an add on side flight to/from DXB from a port in Europe/Asia, or using one of the traditional RTW fares such as a DONE4, but in J they can get quite exxy.

CX ex MNL is a good option to DXB, nested in a RYW.

A DONE4 would be perfect, but even out of AKL, it's around $11K. I'm looking at a fare to/from ZHR or FRA at the moment. We'll see how that comes up...
