Cheap Mileage runs on IB ( BA metal) out of Paris to SIN, JNB, others, possibly SYD

Lots of discussion on flyertalk Mileage Run deals thread but I haven't seen anything on AFF yet.

Iberia has filed a Y return fare from ORY-MAD or MAD-ORY which can be routed via anywhere in the Eastern hemisphere that has an IB codeshare. As IB is owned by BA this includes much of the BA network.

Thus you can go ORY-LHR-SIN-LHR-MAD-LHR-SIN-LHR-ORY for around 330EUR. 29000 miles which earns at 100% on BA or QF (I think), 80% on AA. Plenty of SCs to be had.

Stopover as long as you like in MAD, but other destinations must be same day turnaround, sometimes same plane. However with routings such as JNB and CPT this gives you from morning to night.

Book on multicity on Iberia.com or lastminute.com (perhaps some other OTAs)

The holy grail is routing via SYD with a 10 hour turnaround, but most of the availability has been snapped up, has been on flyertalk for days without me noticing alas

Can't imagine this will last long after they wake up in Madrid today.

390 SC @ $1.22 per SC.

SC earn rates are in the ballpark of some of the better AA multi city stuff in F and J, but harder and longer flying.

I reckon it's good for a hidden city return to SIN if you can't get it to route to SYD

There are no words terse enough to describe IB's handlng of my tickets in the RGN 'mistake' fares. I can't imagine they are going to be remotely customer friendly in this current case.

Interesting, though, how long it's been live for.

I wonder if something routing via the USA would provide a level of legal protection for cancellations and reroutings.

Apparently it only includes destinations in the eastern hemisphere which apparently isn't the US or Canada.

I reckon it's good for a hidden city return to SIN if you can't get it to route to SYD

And add a xx_-SIN .br deal, and you can get home. $1k round trip but a bit more complex to combine those two deals to make it work.

...Except with a LM hack to get into Europe in J cheap.
