Why is that? It's no problem at all. I spent a few hours changing planes there a couple of months ago and there were no dramas at all (but I have done it quite a few times). It's very straightforward and safe.

Agree, we were there last month at Cairo x 2, Luxor, Aswan x 2 & Abu Simbel x 2 airports. No problems what so ever.
