Cheap Y flights to Malaysia on MH

The risk of a fatal crash on any airline is incredibly small, if my number comes up then so be it. But I'd still think twice about booking MH, at least for now.
I wouldn't want my family to be treated in the way MAS and their government have been treating the MH370 passenger's families with the endless obfuscations and incompetence.

Perhaps in certain markets maybe. Quite subjective yes I agree but are they the most unpopular airline in the market currently?

The limited media comment has suggested that MH bookings are down on the KUL - mainland China route with MH cancelling one of two daily return flights to PEK.

Flight Centre has claimed that MH bookings are 'holding up well.' I do not believe this company spokesman (especially since Flight Centre has just been fined $11 million for retail price maintenance).

While a sample of one, the observation from a 20s female passenger who had returned from a 10 day holiday in Philippines that her MEL - KUL flight was 50 per cent full outbound but only 20 per cent full inbound to MEL and that 'most passengers were Malaysians' tells us a story - that Caucasian and other non-Malaysian ethnicity Australians are suddenly avoiding MH (although surely some would have booked in advance prior to the MH370 loss, and still be travelling).

I recently flew MH and it was quite a good experience. However as illogical as it might be, I am presently avoiding that airline despite the chances of being on a flight with plenty of room (which is always good).

I flew MH the day 370 went missing (ex KUL).

I was one of two people in the F lounge, and the flight was 50% empty. Few westerners.

A week later it was no worse.

I stumbled across the MH fare deals when booking a person from India to Australia. Good deal all around plus managed to link the QF internal flights into the deal.

Now I'm thinking of taking a wedding anniversary week in KL...seems like 676 good reasons.
