Just a bit! We paid $479 BNE-CHC return for 4 (3A 1C - that's $60 each each way!) in a Jetstar BOGOF sale back in June leaving this Thursday. That's not going to help you looking now though!

LAN will get you SYD-AKL for $370 on various dates through November

Thanks for all your replies. $60 per ticket seems an absolute steal, wish I could get that now. Theres seats going empty so youd think the airlines would sell them off at the last minute...

Thanks for the Lan tip - the price is good for but 6 people the $$$ add up

Being a baker people ask me why I don't sell the bread cheap at the end of the day??????.......

Simple answer is it diminishes the value of my time put into making the bread in the first place. If the great un washed.... sorry, customer, knew they could get fresh bread at a discounted price just by waiting till the end of trade, I'd be giving away my services for nothing.
Now, does a lawyer do that? A Tradie? No one really does.

The intellects amongst us will be able to argue otherwise but for me I'd rather pay a decent price with safety than risk $$$$ and end up a skid mark.

Going OT

Except US airlines do that for Bus class seats. But they have devalued the bus seats so that "free upgrades" are expected by many freq flyers instead of selling for $. (But many US airlines have gone into Chater 11 bankruptcy).
