I was looking at doing a trip soon that combines Mainland China, Japan and the USA and I was looking at oneworld circle pacific fares in J Class.

I have some flexibility around this, and I was wondering given current exchange rates, what location would be the cheapest to commence a circle pacific J class fare (either 22k or 26k miles?).

Thanks in advance ;)

Feel like a trip to Myanmar? Expertflyer has DCIR22 $5550 AUD, DCIR26 $6706 ex-RGN. But watch the mileage heading so far west to RGN.

Add another ~$1300-1500 and you're looking at places like SGN, KUL & TPE.

Good tips, thank you. Taipei should work quite well. HKG doesn't seem to be as cheap as it used to be because of the USD strength over the past year :(

Actually forgot about HKG. It seems to be $6463 for DCIR22 and $7884 for DCIR26, about $300 less than TPE.

Can I clarify, does the published rates for DCIR22 ex-HK all inclusive? Are they binding to all agents selling these tix?
As I have been quoted from a travel agent for 38,000HKD + taxes 6,942HKD = $5970AUD + $1090AUD

The rates on expertflyer do not include taxes, and presumably they are not binding if the agents forgoes some commission (although those more knowledgeable in travel agents matters could answer that with more certainty.)

Rates are never binding per se, but you generally find that the larger places that sell them one world fares will sell at the published price. Taxes are never included in this sort of fare because they are highly destination dependant.
