Is there a way to check availability for the Accor Plus Stay Plus (free night) while currently holding a reservation for the same? It seems to disqualify you from searching for potential better options before it's used.

I have been trying to find a Stay Plus night but almost anything that I search for comes up with the error that I cannot use my Stay Plus night.

Has something changed post-Covid? Am I just being unlucky with my search criteria?

The search was either the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast for a Saturday night in July or August.

May be simply a system glitch - I had that experience a few days back (in the evening) but then successfully had a confirmation on my stay plus free night booking (in Brisbane) the next day. It was only in the last few days.

Good luck with your booking.

Mines the same. I can't find any stay plus nights locally (same area as you). All the way up to September. I wonder if everyone booked theirs and there's no more nights available

Thanks I'll try the app instead.

PS: Can we redeem Stay Plus nights past their expiry date? Eg: if mine expires in September then can I make a booking for November using it? Or does the check out date have to be within the expiry period?

No you can't. If your membership expires in September the latest date you can book will be 29/9, checking out on 30/9.

Can anyone please check for me if there is a stayplus free night available in Cairns Reef Pullman for any of the 11th, 12th or 13th of this month? I know it is extremely unlikely but hey anything's possible haha!

Thanks for checking. It's so mysterious how the free night works until you actually join up lol. Do they even have somewhere a published list of Accor hotels which do not participate in it?
I suspect the availability is “seasonal” - pure speculation but I did have the experience years back that a particular hotel was not available on weekends (but that may have changed?!)

Yeah that makes sense. But from the wording of the membership benefits it would seem some hotels don't participate at all in offering the free night, except I haven't been able to find a listing of such exclusions. Similar story with the 50% off dining, they mention there are exceptions but that's all lol

Not happy with Accor plus at the moment. Had to cancel a free night due to travel restrictions and I have been told it’s not possible to roll over a 2nd night. Not a good look for Accor in these Covid times

Not happy to read this. I've just had to cancel two nights for early next month for the same reason. Both those nights will expire at the end of August. I was going to call and request and extension.
