Quick one: Are upgrade requests shown on checkmytrip?

Or is it only useful to look at allocated seat (and work out from there if successful)?

TIA

Only in the period where the upgrade request is being processed (and sometimes after you have flown if there are further flights on the PNR).

Around 12-36 hours before your flight Qantas will insert a Waitlisted upgraded class segment into the booking - this will show on C/M/T.

About the same time, www.qantas.com.au/yourbooking will show the upgrade as being declined.

This will all stay that way unless your upgrade is successful, in which case C/M/T will show only the Upgraded segment, such may (or may not) be reported on www.qantas.com.au/yourbooking and your QFF points will have a rather significant reduction.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

This is very useful serfty. The process I experienced with my previous upgrade request was exactly like you said. I got freaked out a bit when I saw the Declined upgrade in my booking 1.5 day before my departure from London (called QF and they explained). It's interesting/nice to see the successful upgrade a day before I travelled, however, as QF says it only shows 5 hours before departure.

This is on a slightly different tack, but also a question about the information shown on CheckMyTrip:

We just booked a multi-legged "One World Classic Award" trip, all on business class, which includes a UK domestic return trip on BA. We booked (and the QANTAS itinerary shows) these domestic flights as "Business Class (U)" but CheckMyTrip lists them as "Economy Restricted". Which one should I believe? The QFF Award booking engine showed (and still shows) that "Business Class" seats are available on those flights, so I'm wondering whether any of the knowledgeable people on this forum may know if is it terminology issue when comparing QANTAS's classification of Business Class to BA's.

If not, I'll call QANTAS ... but I'm a bit concerned they'll just tell me not to believe CheckMyTrip and I'll be no wiser (until we check in)!

Thanks
M

UK domestic on BA is all economy. So it will be in economy.

Thanks for clarifying that ... and it explains the CheckMyTrip listing. (I'm now wondering why the QFF Award booking engine makes the distinction, and even shows some business class seats not available, but I guess that's another story.)

Because J, D, I, and award U are available for booking on the UK domestic sectors. (Even though there are no J seats on the plane.)

However, since you are booked in business (U) for these economy domestic flights you will get galleries/terraces lounge access before your flights due to class of booking.
