"Chef On Call" in Malaysia Airlines Economy?

Reporting back: I tried this on my recent KUL-MEL flight in Y, ordering the chicken satay with fried rice (Nasi Goreng Satay Ayam). It was really good.

The cabin crew didn't deliver it with the other special meals, but when they came around during the meal service to offer the two regular choices, I mentioned I'd pre-ordered and they went back to the galley to "find" my meal.

That looks better than anything Ive been served previously on MH even in J.
