I have a taipei to melbourne booking with china airlines using qantas points. But annoyingly qantas doesn't list china airlines as an option when flying from Hong kong to taipei since cathay is the preferred route. While I don't mind staying in taipei for a couple of nights I just want to know my options for more flexibility. Can you call qantas to book china airlines flights not showing on the website? Or if I book a flight paid with china airlines could I be able to call them and link my flights so if the HKG-TPE leg is delayed or cancelled I can get rebooked for my TPE-HKG leg?
