Mrs Dalescott and I will be in Christchurch soon, and we are looking for a good restaurant for an evening meal.
Are there any New Zealander's here that can recommend something.

I’m not from there but have visited a few times.

My favourite place is Rangoon Ruby, which as the name suggests is Burmese. Subtle flavours designed to share, but of course that’s if you eat/like Asian food.

When we stay at the Novotel Cathedral Hotel there are some pretty nice restaurants dotted around and we absolutely love Francesca’s Kitchen. Has superb Italian food and the hospitality has been warm and genuine when we have visited
