Christmas airport strikes banned

AIRLINE baggage handlers have been barred from taking strike action that could have disrupted the Christmas travel plans of thousands of passengers.

The Australian Industrial Relations Commission (NSW) today slapped a three-month ban on strikes by the handlers after Qantas asked it to intervene following a two-hour stoppage at Sydney airport.

But their union warns that if its concerns are not addressed, services over the Christmas period will be jeopardised anyway by workers off sick or injured.

I really can't understand how Qantas workers can expect us to feel sorry for them.

The quicker Qantas get rid of these workers, outsource as much as they can to foreign workers and get rid of these union influences, the better for the Australian public.

I'll feel sorry for them if they are not sick or injured on the 27th December. ;)
