Merry Christmas all! Hope everyone enjoyed a lovely day with their nearest and dearest.

This was our final lineup:

Unfortunately the Bin 707 was a little past its best, although apparently 93 wasn't a great vintage?

Shadrach was really nice. My first one of those, so happy to have another to sit on for a few years.

Looooved the Sauternes, great way to finish the day (before the White Russian nightcap of course!)

A Scion Viognier 2014, followed by a Penfolds St Henri (can't remember the vintage) and a lovely Henschke Hill of Grace 2010.

Tap water here until my shift ends at 20.30 then a glass or two of Glenfiddich before I drop into bed for a luxurious 6 hours sleep before my early morning start :D I love shiftwork :D

Nothing too special here...

Bollinger NV and Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut NV were the house pours.

There was some red which I didn't dare touch - looked very downmarket. (not from my cellear).

The dessert wine was a late harvest Riesling (somewhere in TAS) which went well with the pav before I collapsed into a heap.

You have been spoilt penegal - to be able to call those fine NV Champagnes nothing too special. My sister brought Yellowtail Champagne to Christmas lunch as "there is no difference" :(

True true, I think the bubbles were the pick - I steered clear of the cheap reds brought by others.

The wine list at a Boxing Day family dinner at a local pub

I went for a Coke Zero

The Tamar Ridge Pinot Noir should have been okay?
