Anybody tried to get this US issued card, gives Diamond status after $40K US spend per year, incidentally just returned from US with 28 stays on the ledger this year and just checked account and status now shows as Diamond, not sure why as I thought that I had to have 30 stays?

I think you'll find that any US credit card application requires a US social security number, effecitvely ruling out many.

I've heard that you can apply with an itin also that if you start off with secured credit you can move on later to an unsecured ie points earning card. Was considering trying for lifemiles card

Base points earned this year is 66,906.plus 28 stays and 34 nights.
Also can Paultiffen please explain re "itin" in the reply re the card, I am unclear on this?

Maybe they have not updated their software - it was 28 stays until this year. (Now it is supposed to be 30 stays, 60 nights or 120,000 Base).
