Citi Personal Loan Plus=Velocity.

Got my 150K points today. Few days ago they offered me $50 egift card for $300 spend or cash advance in Feb. I activated but still ponder about this. Anyone knows how quickly will they send the gift card ?

Citi are desperate to get customers. Everytime I've gotten off the chat to them in the last six months, they're asking me if I wanna sign up for any old credit card 😂

They are clearly not that desperate as they rejected my application for a $5,000 flexible line of credit.

Maybe other reasons for rejection. I've had three of their cards over the last three months no dramas
I am sure the reason is because I already have two open credit cards with $23,000 of credit plus a closed credit card and personal loan plus within the past six months. Kicking myself for applying but I am frustrated with Westpac for delaying my sign up bonus and feel like I have been sitting for two months squandering opportunities - I just wanted to be doing something to generate more points...

Closed doesn't have an impact been there, done that lots. It's the limits open that's what's dragging it down. Westpac seems to be really cough lately with their process and points, seems to be the consensus on OzBargain - kinda like the new ANZ.

As you say, some nice opportunities have been coming up with some banks to get points but I'm sure it'll pick up soon enough.

I am waiting for one at the moment. According to their t&c it is due today.

I'm still waiting on my points after they requested my number in December. Have others waited the full 90 days or did they come through sooner than that?

It seems to have varied. Early adopters were all made to wait but some more recent applications have been luckier.

Offer back with 70k Qantas points.
Little different in that you draw an amount minimum of $5k at own call, not automatically dropped into your account. with usual wait times of requiring FF number and bonus points to drop.

Recieved email from Qantas, their usual influx of marketing material.

Well approved within hours of providing payslip.

Let's see how this process unfolds, reading upthread it was all over the place, but seemed the early adopters fared better.

I don't foresee any issue, follow T&C's & happy points balance.

A word of advice- keep screenshots of offer conditions, screenshots of dates you provided FF number etc, when you call to chase them up keep a log of who you are speaking to and when and take notes of promises they make and by when. It all comes in handy when dealing with Citibank.

From what I read of this new QF promo, you’ve just got to take out a $5k loan and not pay it off entirely to be eligible. So one could take it out, pay back $4999 and still be eligible?

exactly what I've applied for, the $5k is in my account & will transfer 99% of it back today, does say you need to make repayments, yet keep you account in debit for 3 months. By this I assume I need to pay off like $1 each month.

I know someone who is still waiting on the points from last year!! FK Citibank.
Just to close the loop on this one. I assisted this person to lodge a complaint with AFCA. Two days after the lodgement and before the Citi rep had even made contact the points appeared in the VFF account. What a coincidence!
