Citi Ready Credit - 70k Velocity points with $500 balance transfer

After I made the transfer of $5000, I paid back $4850 immediately.
I hope paying most of it back immediately didn't cause any issues?
Nope already did this last year for the qantas version and had no issues. Though as per my earlier post on the previous page I guess I'm the only person to have received a call afterwards interrogating me about where and whom the repayment transfer was from and the reasoning.

I thought you have to keep the $5k loan out until you get the Velocity email?
The condition is to just spend/transfer out the 5k and have a non-zero owing balance for the end of month statement. I only left a dollar in there for this and still got the points. I left more last year for the qantas version because I had no idea what the minimum repayment at the end of the month would be.

Already more than 3 weeks since I made the $5000 transfer of balance. Still haven't received the email requesting for my velocity number.. haven't received the 1st statement email yet either..

Did they change the system perhaps?

Have received an email requesting my velocity number for my Citi Rewards Credit Card just few days after reaching the min spending of $5000.

But still waiting for the velocity number email for my citi ready credit offer. I wonder if it will be sent together with the first statement?

I don't understand why Citi can't just ask for your VFF or QFF number at application? Waiting for an email to arrive seems silly. I guess some people and hence not obtain points.

Statement has arrived but still no email...
Same situation as me. Received statement late last week, still no email for my velocity number.

I talked to support on chat in the weekend, they checked my account is definitely eligible for the bonus points.

They said the email will definitely be sent up to 2 months from the balance transfer date, and to NOT pay off the balance this statement. Just pay the $199 fee and minimum payment required for the first statement.

If no email still after 2 months, need to contact Citi so they can investigate it.

Fingers crossed we will get the email soon.

Does anyone know how often you can close this product and do it again for the bonus points? Credit impact not withstanding

Finally got the email although a bit concerned that the completion page suggests up to a further 2 month wait:

Your bonus Velocity Points will be credited to your Velocity account within 2 months from when you first submitted your Velocity membership number. Once credited, the Velocity Points will appear in your Velocity Points balance.

How long has it taken for everyone else to have the points post?
