Go ahead, do that. What your experience/evidence has failed to grasp in a massive way is that the playing field has changed! I did the same as you and accumulated the 6 credit cards I have now BEFORE the changes to the comprehensive credit reporting rules came in about 18 months ago now. As such, 4 of my credit cards don't even appear on my credit file at all now. Nobody knows about them unless I'm stupid enough to tell (which I'm not), but since the changes, I have a rejected ANZ card application there, credit limit increases on my Amex cards and all sorts of other stuff that used to be so insignificant that it wasn't ever even recorded at all.Well as I have been doing this for well over a decade in a large way, and probably took my first sign on bonus about 3 decades back, have good records with two banks over many decades, ample assets, flawless payment record etc etc, I will just agree to disagree and will continue on my merry churning way.
Your assumption that rules and laws never change is blindingly naïve, but go ahead and keep doing what you're doing and do please, report back in here how you get on, because that gravy train you're on is coming to a screeching halt pretty soon!
