Citibank has finally updated their online banking experience and it a quick look shows it is a step in the right direction. As promised they now allow consolidation of any previous multiple user ids that you created for the purposes of activations and PIN changes. On first sign in they will ask you to choose your primary id and you can then update the pin for any card Citi card you have.

The rewards section looks much the same but the rest looks like a better layout with account details much clearer.

Hopefully they now have a platform that they can continue to improve on. Given that the update affected the availability of their ATMs and phone banking it seems it may be more than a lick of paint.

Anybody found any negatives (apart from the lack of offers currently available :))

No negatives but have noticed their fancy password keyboard is gone, and the one time PIN they SMS has a life of 5 minutes, down from 8.

I am finding that the citi android isn't generating me a OTP.
I press generate, and nothing happens :S

It's definitely much cleaner and seems easier to use at first glance, although I'll have to have a proper dig through it later.

I had to de-register my device and then register the phone again. See if that works for you.

And I agree the website is looking much better. It's a step in the right direction, although still some way off from others like CBA.

Noticed that on the Android app, when I click into Rewards >> Miles, there's a SPG transfer option, but after selecting it, there's a popup saying the card is not eligible. So maybe it's an upcoming transfer partner?

I have noticed this too, also Air NZ.
If they add MH i'd be golden.

I ended up getting my OTP to work again after logging in and out of the app on my phone.

Found some errors:
- broken links - reward pages to some "other" pages.
- SPG / Emirates transfer partners (perhaps future product update) - bring MH Enrich in...
- Some mis-alignments of drop down boxes, texts, banners
- Missing information for airline transfer partners - minimum number of CitiReward points to transfer.
- Missing product offer via the portal - pre-populate application forms.
- duplicate middle name on the iPad app.

Still some pet peeves:
- OTP required to VIEW transaction history... GRRRR!!!!
- Turning off emailing statements. Keep the e-statements in the portal rather than emailing it to me. Reminder email is fine. I don't need any more junk into my email inbox.
- "Change ATM PIN" should be renamed to "Change PIN", since we use the PIN for pretty much everything
- BPay / Transfer recipients user experience is still pretty cluttered

Massive improvement:
- Single login - no more cluttered login function for different accounts
- Cleaner navigation of the portal
- Improvement of the colour schemes, experience (still work to be done)
- Standardise user experience global level

Still missing useful functions:
- Transaction view for pending authorisation - e.g. for credit cards / debit card transactions
- new product offers e.g. Premier Miles in Australia
- new airline partners / hotel programs to offer in Australia
- Pending transfers/BPay payments on the main page

Just some ideas and things that I have discovered in the new portal.

Can see the same thing on my iPhone app.. Very interesting!

Bill payment is terrible, in fact ad-hoc payment is not working for me at all right now.

My transactions from yesterday and the points haven't shown, where they used to always be there the next day.

Yesterday I transferred money from my Plus account to Visa account
I also made a BPay from an outside bank account into the visa account and transferred into the Plus account from the other bank.
All transactions show in the Plus account (the transfer out showed immediately) and my outside bank account.
No transactions show in my Visa or are reflected in the balance.

I did something similar.
Paid in from another bank to Citibank Plus and transactions shows up.
Tranferred an amount from Citibank Plus to Citibank Signature and transaction shows on Citibank Plus but nothing on Visa. The final update used to happen the next day but you could see that something was pending. Not any more, the transferred amount vanishes but I expect that it will appear on the Visa tomorrow (I hope so!).

Also, I am a second card holder for my partner's account but I can no longer view the credit balance remaining as I used to. I just see $0 credit available.

Let's hope that these are just teething problems.

I called them and they fixing it.. mean while they offering $40 credit in my account...

Has anyone found that Award Wallet can no longer check Citi Rewards balance since this update was rolled out? That seems to be the case for me.

I didn't think Award wallet supported Citibank Australia? I was updating my balance manually lol.
