.. Mine is CitiBusiness Gold. I'm not sure how to link QF account to it. Will call Citi tomorrow ..

You cannot link the CitiBusiness Gold rewards points to auto-sweep to your QFF account.

The 40,000 Citi Rewards points will appear a few days after first card use. Then you phone Citi in order to have the points transferred. Points are transferred in 10,000 lots (20,000, 30,000, 40,000, etc) and only by phone, so your 40,000 is easy. Just have your QFF member number with you. I did this today. They say to allow 3-5 business days for the transfer of points to occur. There's no fee for this, just the inconvenience of calling the call centre for each transfer.

Also, about your credit limit and transactions. Details can be viewed on-line, once you set the card up for on-line access.

Ok, so just went and looked at this card and can the 40,000 citibank reward points be converted to 40,000 QFF points or do they convert at a different rate???

It seems like an ok offer for $199 if they do convert equally but then i noticed that they have this note -

The Citibank Qantas Reward Program will close to new enrolments on 1 April 2012

So i guess you need to sign up soon if you want to take advantage of the Qantas possibility???

Further to my post #21, above, the 40,000 Citi reward points that were transferred from my CitiBusiness card, yesterday, now appear in my QFF acount (i.e., on the next business day). Pretty quick.

Yes, it's 1:1 for transfer QFF:Citi reward points. However, Citi has advised that from April 2012, the earn rate on the Platinum (and some other cards) will reduce to one Citi reward point per two dollars put through on card purchases (instead of the current one Citi reward point per one dollar).

Haven't seen any such change notified regarding the CitiBusiness Gold card, as yet (the earn rate is 1.25 Citi reward points per one dollar spent through the card, for CitiBusiness Gold, converting to 1:1 for QFF). Points are transferred in blocks of 10,000 by phone, only. Annual card fee is $149.

Ok, so the Citi Gold card looks like it will have the better points earn in the future, but the Citi Platinum is a sweet points bonus deal at 40k points for $199 or less than 1/2 cent per QFF point... OK might see if i can sign up for the Citi Plat before April...

Don't completely rule out the CitiBusiness gold card. It also comes with 40,000 points. Annual cost is $149.

Ahh ok, if the Gold comes with 40k points for $149 that is what i would go for... Hopefully it has the same 1.9% balance transfer for 15 months as well or whatever the plat offer was...

Unfortunately not the same deal. For the CitiBusiness Gold card, it's 0% for a balance transfer, but only for four months, from what I've seen, unless there's anything else going.

I have been a Platinum card holder for several years now.
I recieved a letter form Citibank in early December, stating that from 1 April 2012, rather than receiving 1 QFF point for every dollar spent, I will now only recive 0.5 QFF points for every dollar spent.
Needless to say, I looking at changing credit cards.
