Citibank Premier, fee doubled (for me)!?

The annual fee for Citi premier (formerly signature) has remained the same, 'grandfathered in', for myself and others, for a number of years. Given that, wondered if anyone has had any success in fighting the recent big fee increase?

I also hold the Citibank Premier card. My fee of $149 per annum was grandfathered from a Citibank Gold card many years ago. I have been notified that the fee will increase to $300 per annum for my next fee which will be due in August 2025. As I am not using many of the additional benefits such as Priority Pass the new fee will not be worth my while. I plan to contact Citibank/NAB shortly to see if i can move to a low or no fee card before the increased fee is charged. If they can offer nothing suitable I will cancel this card.
