Citibank raising the bar!

I think the only way I will be able to tell is if I put through a small transaction on the card this month and then wait to see if I get points for it or not.

I put through $7.5k on last thursday and $10k on friday when I was already at the old cap limit of 80k and the points are showing up at 99k.

Keep in mind too that Citibank seem to have an ad-hoc approach to applying the caps. Sometimes applied, sometimes not...

I no longer mind this to be the case with me. :(
I found when I first started using Citi in 2004 that the cap was never applied and would rack up about 300k on the card each year. About 3 or 4 years ago I suddenly found myself capped, applied for a second card with them and would have to juggle different cards to maximise my points earn each year.

Everything is good. I put a few transactions through in the last couple of days on my Citibusiness Gold and I have been credited with the points so the 80K cap is definitely history.

Well interesting twist here, was told 2 weeks ago I was capped, would start to accrue again at end of Sept, but have now started picking up points again. Usual Citi inconsistency, not that I'm complaining!
