See post #1I don't see anything about government spend in the T&Cs. Is the card ATO friendly?
Should I expect an email or a phone call when it's finally approved? Or just a card to arrive in the mail?
Great thanks. You'll get an email confirmation and then the card a few days later.
Thinking of cancelling a 16k Virgin Money card (after receiving flight voucher) to increase chances of approval (keeping Coles MC) although recently been approved for Amex Westpac so would recent 2 credit marks be detrimental? Are credit enquiries instant onto your credit file?
I'd be following up with St George first especially if his pension is over 75K pa. They don't always understand the concept of defined benefit superannuation income and need some educating along the way.How long would you wait after being declined before applying for this card?
I just applied for hubby to get the St George Signature Visa and he was declined (god knows why - he's retired and on a government super indexed for life), so this one looks promising.
Should I wait a couple of weeks or more than a month?
Thank you - great advice.I'd be following up with St George first especially if his pension is over 75K pa. They don't always understand the concept of defined benefit superannuation income and need some educating along the way.
Probably no reason not to apply for this one straight away however
Strange - there was a section in the application where I linked my Qantas FF account to the Citi card (for additional $49).I applied on 24th May.
No request to upload any documents at any point during application process - I assumed because of prior Citi card and my current Qantas Premier.
Nothing happened..so I called them on the 5th June and was requested to provide payslips.
Finally received card last Friday 14th Jun.
So, 21 days from application to receiving card.
An inauspicious start!
I'm also worried about being registered for the right FF program - the rewards page on the Citi page goes straight to the Citi rewards page.

The final step was uploading docs. Maybe give them a call to make sure you're linked to QFF to receive the bonus?
I would ring them up sooner rather than later thenStrange - there was a section in the application where I linked my Qantas FF account to the Citi card (for additional $49).

Squid, you are obviously new to here. Read through the posts - you will get all the answers you need.Just did the application and have been conditionally approved. I log on to the application and the status says 'submitted'.
Do I just need to wait a bit now for them to look over my payslips and proof of identity docs etc? How long can I expect to wait for a definitive answer on approval?
Also the link took me to sign up for Citi Rewards Card. But it did prompt me to enter my QFF number which I did. I also saved the application link webpage and terms to PDF and screenshotted.
It's been suggested before that the period is 6 months.I got my bonus in the first statement, cancelled and tried to reapply. Got declined. Maybe they have an internal exclusion period.
