Australia's relatively small number of USA-style solicitors love to brag about cases they launch, because it builds brand recognition and brings in work.

Shine Lawyers has apparently launched Federal Court action against AA:

Wollongong man crushed by ‘grossly obese’ passengers on 14-hour flight | Illawarra Mercury

This case may take a long time. If it fails, we'll probably never hear anything about it in the media. It is however topical given recent allegations (and YouTube videos) of alleged poor treatment of passengers by various USA-domiciled airlines.

Sometimes there can be a confidential settlement.

If it proceeded to trial, would we be looking at listing by the Federal Court for a say November 2017 trial? How many days' duration?
