I was trying to claim some JAL flights online and it asks for the Check In Sequence number. I've scoured my boarding pass and I don't know where it is. There's heaps of numbers but nothing that specifically says "check in sequence." Any idea on where or what this is?

Are you wanting to credit to JAL Mileage Bank or to Qantas FF or to some other airline program?

If it's Qantas, and you entered your QFF member number in the JAL booking, you could look at the suggestion made by Leumas in a post on 26/1/10 (Re: Qantas Frequent Flyer Missing Points). That post contains an email address to QFF and it's about scanning a copy of a document (in your case it would be the JAL boarding pass) to them.

I don't have enough posts to be able to enter email addresses, as yet.

Even though Leumas was discussing a hotel stay, the same should apply regarding misssing points for Qantas partner flights.

The only JL-issued board passes I have are only the right hand side stubs for some KUL-SIN flights. The larger portion of the boarding pass is retailed by JL at boarding time. On these stubs, there is a number (0113 on one of mine) in small print located just under the seat number. It is my assumption that this number is the sequence number.

My only other JL flights had the boarding passes issued by CX. Again only the right side stub is retained and it has the seq number in a similar location on the card, but the CX-issued pass does have it labelled as the sequence number.
