I bet, because the wait is MORE than 3 hours, the link box does not pop upuntil they want it to. Wow. Good one Qantas. WebChat | Qantas Frequent Flyer
Telstra does it (phone service) better than Qantas, and we all know how diabolical Telstra is. :mad:

IIRC there’s a note saying the chat box will appear ‘if available’. By the sounds of it there’s a bit of a back log at the moment, so the box may not appear at all.

Certainly this was my experience a few weeks ago trying to use chat. The box never came up (and other contact methods had extremely long wait times).
 
Our WebChat service is available 7am-7pm (AEST), seven days a week.
If you're getting in touch during these hours, the WebChat pop up will appear once an agent is available.

Chat box is like taxis.
Never there when you need it, but bombarding your screen when you dont.

Whoa, big call! Rather put my head down the toilet and flush than call Telstra customer service.

I had a similar error a while back, they have what sounds like a script about using chrome on a computer, cookies enabled etc. So much for all their other apps. Didn’t work of course.

Called back again, completed booking, waived call centre fee as I could quote the error number. WP get bumped forward in the queue, possibly the biggest benefit - reduced pain.:rolleyes: Profuse apologies to those who get bypassed.
