My daughter did MEL-DPS recently (she did appreciate the up front/ extra legroom on the way home though)

To quote her on the A320 - "Mum, you'd never cope with this!"

A320 and relatively short flight (9am dep / 12:30p arr - plenty of time to connect to QF or JQ to the East).

Some days I believe JQ have 3x flights DPS-PER.

As Melbourne based @SYD my rule of thumb in retirement is max 3 hours in Y anywhere!

Don’t disagree - although I did do SYD-SIN in QF whY last year. I’d forgotten how long that seems when sitting down the back - even in the first row and J drinks finding there way to me…

Back to JQ - we departed late and landed about 30 mins early. So the schedule was padded. As an otherwise SYD-Indonesia J return booking (QF J SYD-CGK//PER-SYD), it really wasn’t too bad. Much better than a redeye - even in J o/n.

Interestingly enough I've got a one hour layover coming in on AY before connecting to my AY service down to SYD in October. Will be interesting to see if I make it, and if not, the EU261 compensation received for such a misconnect.

Same here since AY pushed back the departure time of AY132. Mine isn't until the 25th but will certainly post results here if there's a misconnect.
