UPDATE: Tried 3 different credit card toget this to work! Faailed iwth AMEX and Commonwealth Mastercard. Worked with Bankwest Mastercard.
Finally! Rates due today and turns out I didn't pay the previous instalment, conveniently.
But I also had Amex and CBA problems. Success with low points Coles Mastercard and desperately resorted to an ANZ debit card.

Made about 10 unsuccessful attempts this morning using Amex to purchase 4 X $250 cards.
Kept getting "Transaction failed, please contact customer service"
Finally successful on attempt number 11 (10 minutes ago) using same Amex card

I normally use Chrome, tried Firefox, tried using my mobile phone, checked with Amex that they were not blocking the transaction, all to no avail.
In the end I went back to chrome, without clearing cache, and just kept trying.
Appears that their server is unable to cope with the current volumes.
Gift cards received in about 10 minutes.
Many thanks to the OP.

Another IT issue , I ordered my gift cards earlier this morning, tried to view the E-Gift cards and they wouldn't load in Chrome, Firefox or Edge. However could view the cards (and use) via Iphone Safari; go figure. Life wasn't meant to easy when trying to save some $$$

Thanks for this. I bought 2x $250 cards paid for using my Suncorp (but really NAB) visa card. Went through no problems. Receipt turned up within a minute and the emails with the cards turned up about 10 minutes later. No luck getting the cards to open on Chrome or Edge on my windows laptop. But opened just fine through the gmail browser on my android phone (thanks luckypierre for sharing that tip). Spent the money on bpays to a super fund via sniip (thanks for that tip Dr Ralph) within 30 minutes of clicking purchase.

All in all it was a relatively painfree affair thanks to all the tricks and tips on here. Wish that I'd bought more now.

Looks like the offer has ended early.
Yep, the 10% off banner has been removed.

@Dr Ralph link just goes to a generic landing page now and the OZB link says "No cards".

It does say one order per customer up to max $2500 which would explain why second orders seem to fail at the transaction stage, as it did for me.

So anyway, what's the incentive for giftcards (or Heritage Bank) to sell a $250 card at $231.30? Interest earnt, cards go unused, advertising? All of the above? I can't see them making a profit out of it.

Amex worked fine for me and I had bought the no-fee version earlier this week with the same card

I managed 3x10 before the offer was pulled early...used 3 different cards with 3 different emails. Was going for a 4th lot of 10 @ 330pm but offer was already pulled
